1. Provider and scope

The contracting party is Lorin Both, Kirchlindach, Switzerland, under the name Securely Attached. The address and email are in the imprint. These conditions apply to all purchases through securely-attached.ch. The version that applies is the one shown on the website at the time of purchase.

2. What you are buying

A workbook as a PDF, 32 pages, with twelve chapters, a twelve-week plan and a source list of 36 studies and books. There are two workbooks, one for anxious and one for avoidant attachment. The contents are described on the homepage, where three pages are shown as a preview.

Both workbooks are written in German. An English edition is in preparation and has no date. This website, the self-test and the support are in English, the PDF is not. Please only buy if you read German.

What is not included: no consultation, no coaching, no answers to questions about the content, no access to a platform, no updates. If a revised edition appears, that is a new product.

3. Conclusion of contract

The presentation on the website is an invitation to buy. The contract comes into being when you complete the payment on the Stripe payment page. After that you receive a confirmation from Stripe and an email from us with the download link.

4. Price

One workbook costs CHF 19.00, once. There is no subscription and no follow-up cost. The seller is not liable for VAT. No VAT is charged and none is shown.

5. Payment

Payment runs through Stripe, with TWINT, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You enter payment details directly with Stripe and not on this website. Stripe's own terms apply in addition.

6. Delivery

Immediately after payment, Stripe returns you to a confirmation page on securely-attached.ch. The PDF is ready to download there. The link is tied to your payment reference, is valid for seven days and allows up to eight retrievals. Download the file and keep it, then you no longer depend on the link.

If the download does not work, the page was closed too early or the file is damaged: send the reference from the Stripe confirmation to the address in the imprint. You will then receive the PDF by hand. Expired links are replaced free of charge. This obligation stands until the workbook has reached you.

7. No returns

When buying digital content online there is no statutory right of withdrawal in Switzerland. None is granted voluntarily either: the purchase is final and no refund takes place. The reason lies in the nature of the thing. Anyone who has downloaded a PDF does not hand it back on cancellation.

By completing the payment you agree that delivery begins immediately and acknowledge that no right of return exists as a result. This notice also appears before the purchase in the checkout dialog.

So that you know beforehand what you are getting: three pages from each workbook are shown on the homepage, the self-test tells you which workbook fits you at all, and if your result is «securely attached» it says explicitly that you need neither of them. The language of the workbooks is stated in the checkout dialog and on the homepage.

This does not affect problems on our side: a damaged file, a link that does not work, an expired link, or an email that never arrived. Those get fixed free of charge, for as long as it takes until you have the workbook. If you bought the wrong one of the two by accident, get in touch; that can be sorted out.

8. Use

The workbook is for your personal use. You may print it and store it on your devices. Not permitted are passing it on, selling it, publishing it, sharing the download link, and using it in courses or counselling without written permission. For use in a professional setting, an enquiry is enough.

9. No diagnosis, no treatment, no promised outcome

The workbooks summarise published research and suggest exercises. They are not a diagnosis: attachment style appears in no diagnostic manual. They are no substitute for psychotherapy, no medical advice and no emergency help.

No outcome is promised. The research shows that attachment anxiety can decrease, not that it does so in any particular case.

10. Liability

For damage arising from the use of the workbooks or the website we are liable only in cases of intent and gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence, for consequential damage and for lost profit is excluded to the extent the law permits. Mandatory statutory liability, in particular for personal injury, remains in place.

11. Availability of the website

The website and the self-test are provided without any promise of a particular availability. Interruptions for maintenance or for technical reasons are possible. Workbooks already purchased are unaffected, because you have the file with you.

12. Data protection

How data is handled is described in the privacy notice. In short: test answers do not leave your browser, and buying requires an email address.

13. Changes

These conditions can be changed. For a purchase already completed, the version applying is always the one from the time of purchase.

14. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding conflict-of-law rules and excluding the Vienna Sales Convention. The place of jurisdiction is Bern, unless a mandatory provision prescribes another place. For consumers, the place of jurisdiction at their own domicile under Art. 32 of the Swiss Civil Procedure Code remains available in any case.
